God Hasn’t Changed His Mind About You

God Hasn’t Changed His Mind About You

There are moments in life when we question whether God still sees us the same way He did when He first called us to Himself.

Maybe you’ve failed. Perhaps you’ve drifted. Or maybe you feel like life’s mistakes have disqualified you from the promises He once whispered to your heart.

But the truth remains, God hasn’t changed His mind about you.

His Plans Are Still Intact

When God spoke His purpose over your life, He factored in your weaknesses, flaws, and even the times you would walk away. His plans are not cancelled by your detours; they are rerouted through grace.

“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” — Romans 11:29 (NKJV)

This means that God’s purpose for your life doesn’t expire because of your mistakes. His calling isn’t withdrawn because you stumbled. You may have changed, but His Word hasn’t. His promises still stand firm, waiting for you to believe again.

Even When You Fall, His Love Stays

When Peter denied Jesus three times, he thought his journey with God was over. Yet, Jesus met him again, this time not to condemn him, but to restore him.

“Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?… Feed My sheep.” — John 21:17 (NKJV)

That’s what grace looks like. God doesn’t erase your story; He rewrites it with mercy. The same Peter who failed became the rock upon which the early Church stood. What looked like an ending was really a fresh beginning.

You Are Still Chosen

The enemy loves to whisper lies, telling you that you’ve missed your chance, that God has moved on, that others are now more qualified. But God doesn’t operate like that. He doesn’t replace His children; He restores them.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you.” — Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)

You were chosen before your first breath. And if He chose you then, what could make Him unchoose you now?

Delay Is Not Denial

Sometimes, it’s not that God changed His mind; it’s that He’s preparing your heart to receive what He already planned. His timing is never a punishment; it’s protection.

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” — Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)

Waiting seasons can make you doubt your worth, but God uses them to deepen your roots. What He promised will manifest in the right season, when you’re strong enough to carry it.

Come Back to the Promise

If you’ve been feeling unworthy or distant, it’s time to come home, to the same God who still believes in you. The same God who said,

“I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

He hasn’t changed His mind about you. He hasn’t forgotten your name. He hasn’t abandoned your destiny.

Your mistakes didn’t surprise Him. Your struggles didn’t scare Him. His love is steadfast, and His Word will still come to pass.

So, lift your head. Believe again. Walk again. Pray again. The story isn’t over because the Author hasn’t stopped writing.

Pray this Prayer

Lord, thank You for loving me even when I’ve failed. Thank You that Your purpose for my life is still alive. Help me to see myself the way You see me, to walk in confidence, faith, and hope again. I choose to believe that You haven’t changed Your mind about me. Amen.
